Well I have not been in here to post lately, but I did update my background. I love that there are so many talented people out there who are willing to share their beautiful creations. I just wish I knew how to make the blog backgrounds myself. Maybe some day. I am taking a HTML online class right now and maybe some day I can understand all that lingo and be able to figure out how to use it. HA, right now its just alot of garble to me. Altho this class is awesome, the way they explain it is great and easy to understand. I can't wait to finish it to see if I pass, lol. Wish me luck.

I am so excited but do not want to say too much because dont want to jinx it but I cannot wait until Dec. I plan to go see my online friend Dizzy for the first time meeting her in real life and I cannot wait. It will be great to see her face to face. Hopefully will have lots of pics and some stories to tell laters so check back to see what all we got ourselves into.

See ya laters, have a great one.

My Project

Well here is my project I have been working on for the last couple of months. I must say I am very proud of it all. Thru much blood, sweat and frustration, I finally got it done. I loveeee my new bed and bedroom set. It's been too long coming. I found it online and finally decided to get it because I could not stand that water bed any longer. I am too old to be climbing out of a water bed, hahaha.....but now, I have to climb up in this bed. I need a step stool. Its so tall...I had no idea it would be this high, lol. Anyway, I love it and it sleeps so good.

And of course here is Sissy, she thinks it is all hers. She loves it. She would not sleep in the water bed but before we could even get the sheets on this one, there she was. She was like ohhhhhh thanks mom for the new bed, I have lots of room now. Little stinker. LOL.

And now, the real project that caused most of the blood and sweat, ha. I totally overhauled my closet. I took all the old shelves and clothes rods and stuff out and I installed all the new shelving and rods and baskets. I got it all done and was so proud of it and decided to have a rest and got on my computer for a bit when all of a sudden what did I hear? A clash, clang, bang coming from my closet, haha, well yep, you guessed it. Half of it had fell down. I was so dissapointed. All that hard work for nothing. LOL. So then I had to figure out how to fix it so it would stay this time.

With much determination and more sweat and blood, ha, I got it fixed and yay, now I am so proud of it. I have more room and it looks so much nicer.

Well enough ramblings, but had to show off my stuff, hehehe.

Thanks for stopping by, till next time.

My Trip to Hawaii

OMG, it was awesome. I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful it was. My mom, my sister-in-laws mom, my aunt and her friend went on a Hawaiin cruise and I loved every minute of it. Altho I was not crazy about the food, yum yum yum the drinks were out of this world, haha. They were so tasty and fresh you could not help but drink a few. Nope, I did not get drunk, lol but not because I did not want more, I just knew my limit. :-). The drinks back home cannot compare to the flavor and taste. And the pineapples, yummmmy, I wanted to bring a truck load home with me. Those of you who live in Hawaii, oh I am so jealous of you.

I would love to go back but this time I would not want to travel with a group tour. We went with our local radio station and it was ok, but I would much rather do my own thing on my own time. I loved the ship, altho would prefer a diff cruise line, the ship was nice. I loved cruising. Thank goodness my mom got us a balcony room because it was awesome to sit on the balcony and watch the water and the scenery as we cruised by. I think I enjoyed that the most. I have never seen so many colors of blue in the ocean, truely breath-taking.

ANNOUNCEMENT

A HEALTHY BABY GIRL
Sissy is my rescue dog. I found her at our deer camp and she looked pitiful. She was so dehydrated and hungry her poor little body was hardly able to walk. She was filthy and ate up with fleas and ticks. I could not stand to see her like that and to think she would stay out there and starve to death. I usually am not one to pick up strays but when she came over to me and looked at me with those big beautiful brown eyes, my heart melted. I did not get her that nite tho. I went back the next nite and she was still there so I brought her home.

She has had her vet visit and she is a healthy little girl. The vet says she thinks Sissy to be about 1 1/2 yrs. old and she did not have heart worms and everything else checked out good. I was so relieved she was ok and did not have any diseases.

Ken and I had the hardest time naming her. We thought of lots of names but nothing seemed to fit her. Then a couple days later our other lab, Maggie was inside and Sissy was outside and Ken told Maggie go get Sissy and that name has stuck. I call her my little redhead also. Ha, she has red eyebrows and it even looks like she has freckles (not that I am partial to red heads, since I am one).

She is a really sweet gentle lab and I am glad I have her. Altho when the puppy comes out in her, I think I have lost my mind. I think as she grows she will be an asset to our little family. It's just unbelievable to me how anyone could dump a little precious girl like her. Whoever did tho, oh well its their loss and my gain.

Welcome to the family little one. You are now a wanted and loved girl.

Fun Times at our Deer Camp

IT was so funny seeing my big brother on that little 4-wheeler. He just about didn't fit, LOL. From top left, my brother Gerald (older than me, haha he will love me for that comment), bottom left, my neice (Jaime) and great neice (Aniston) and center is my oldest brother (James). The kids (small and big) had a blast taking rides on the 4-wheeler, scooters and golf cart. Noone got a picture of it, sure wish they had, at one time I had 3 kids, 2 labs and me on the golf cart and let me tell you it was a load. LOL, the furbabies (Maggie & Carlye) kept pushing one of the girls out of the seat and well, Maggie and Carlye would not budge from their seats right up front and center, so I put the kids in the back of the golf cart. Ha what a site.

Now that's a pair of ummmmmmmmmmmmm hehehe maybe I won't get killed when they see this ooopsssssss, sowwy, thought I had a different pic, LOL.

It's a GIRL

And here she is: Ashley Jade

Awwwww one of my best friends and co-worker had her baby today and she is the most beautiful little thing I have ever seen. She is just perfect. She weighed 6 pounds exactly. She is sooooo tiny. I cannot wait to get some pics to share here with you. Of course silly me, when I went by the hospital today, I forgot to take my camera so, duh, now I have to wait till mommy gets home and can send me the pics they took. Will get them posted as soon as I get them.

Welcome Home Crawfish Boil

Hubby's bestest friend came home from Iraq and we wanted to welcome him with a big bang. We decided to have a crawfish boil and invite lots of friends and family. It was great. The crawfish were yummy yummy and we had lots of fun and fellowship. Some of the crawfish as you can see were huge, hmmmm the bigger the tastier.

We are so happy to have Steve back home and hope he knows how much we love him and appreciate him and all those who are so special to fight for us and to sacrifice so much for the love of their country and fellowman. Thanks to you all, men and women. We love you.

Maggie

Here is one of our babies, Maggie is 2 yrs old and such a sweety. We have so enjoyed having her in our life and she has really become quite the center of attention for us. I took her out to the crimson clover field and took some pics of her. The little stink, just as I would try to take her pic, she would turn her head as if to say "nope I am not looking into the camera", ha. I finally got a good one of her face. Anyway, I thought this turned out so cute so thought I would share.

Welcome to my blog

Well I am really new to all this blog stuff and do not have a clue what to do. Ha, so I suppose I will learn as I go. I hope to soon have some pictures and desktop pages to share here so come back again and see what goodies I have up.

Thanks for stopping by. Look forward to hearing from you.
