ANNOUNCEMENT

A HEALTHY BABY GIRL
Sissy is my rescue dog. I found her at our deer camp and she looked pitiful. She was so dehydrated and hungry her poor little body was hardly able to walk. She was filthy and ate up with fleas and ticks. I could not stand to see her like that and to think she would stay out there and starve to death. I usually am not one to pick up strays but when she came over to me and looked at me with those big beautiful brown eyes, my heart melted. I did not get her that nite tho. I went back the next nite and she was still there so I brought her home.

She has had her vet visit and she is a healthy little girl. The vet says she thinks Sissy to be about 1 1/2 yrs. old and she did not have heart worms and everything else checked out good. I was so relieved she was ok and did not have any diseases.

Ken and I had the hardest time naming her. We thought of lots of names but nothing seemed to fit her. Then a couple days later our other lab, Maggie was inside and Sissy was outside and Ken told Maggie go get Sissy and that name has stuck. I call her my little redhead also. Ha, she has red eyebrows and it even looks like she has freckles (not that I am partial to red heads, since I am one).

She is a really sweet gentle lab and I am glad I have her. Altho when the puppy comes out in her, I think I have lost my mind. I think as she grows she will be an asset to our little family. It's just unbelievable to me how anyone could dump a little precious girl like her. Whoever did tho, oh well its their loss and my gain.

Welcome to the family little one. You are now a wanted and loved girl.

Fun Times at our Deer Camp

IT was so funny seeing my big brother on that little 4-wheeler. He just about didn't fit, LOL. From top left, my brother Gerald (older than me, haha he will love me for that comment), bottom left, my neice (Jaime) and great neice (Aniston) and center is my oldest brother (James). The kids (small and big) had a blast taking rides on the 4-wheeler, scooters and golf cart. Noone got a picture of it, sure wish they had, at one time I had 3 kids, 2 labs and me on the golf cart and let me tell you it was a load. LOL, the furbabies (Maggie & Carlye) kept pushing one of the girls out of the seat and well, Maggie and Carlye would not budge from their seats right up front and center, so I put the kids in the back of the golf cart. Ha what a site.

Now that's a pair of ummmmmmmmmmmmm hehehe maybe I won't get killed when they see this ooopsssssss, sowwy, thought I had a different pic, LOL.

It's a GIRL

And here she is: Ashley Jade

Awwwww one of my best friends and co-worker had her baby today and she is the most beautiful little thing I have ever seen. She is just perfect. She weighed 6 pounds exactly. She is sooooo tiny. I cannot wait to get some pics to share here with you. Of course silly me, when I went by the hospital today, I forgot to take my camera so, duh, now I have to wait till mommy gets home and can send me the pics they took. Will get them posted as soon as I get them.

Welcome Home Crawfish Boil

Hubby's bestest friend came home from Iraq and we wanted to welcome him with a big bang. We decided to have a crawfish boil and invite lots of friends and family. It was great. The crawfish were yummy yummy and we had lots of fun and fellowship. Some of the crawfish as you can see were huge, hmmmm the bigger the tastier.

We are so happy to have Steve back home and hope he knows how much we love him and appreciate him and all those who are so special to fight for us and to sacrifice so much for the love of their country and fellowman. Thanks to you all, men and women. We love you.

Maggie

Here is one of our babies, Maggie is 2 yrs old and such a sweety. We have so enjoyed having her in our life and she has really become quite the center of attention for us. I took her out to the crimson clover field and took some pics of her. The little stink, just as I would try to take her pic, she would turn her head as if to say "nope I am not looking into the camera", ha. I finally got a good one of her face. Anyway, I thought this turned out so cute so thought I would share.

Welcome to my blog

Well I am really new to all this blog stuff and do not have a clue what to do. Ha, so I suppose I will learn as I go. I hope to soon have some pictures and desktop pages to share here so come back again and see what goodies I have up.

Thanks for stopping by. Look forward to hearing from you.
