Richmond Trip

Well I told you I had a surprise for you. I got to go to Richmond, VA and meet one of my very dear online friends Dizzy aka Cathi. Dizz and I have been online friends for over 5 yrs now and it was just awesome to get to meet her for real. She was just as I expected her to be. The wonderful friend she is.

We had a great time. My mom (Helen), my cousin (Billie) and I set out for VA on a very very cold day. Little did we know there would be an ice and snow storm in East Texas that morning, ha. We barely made it to the airport. It's a good thing we left extra early because we got to the airport, got our bags checked and walked right on the plane, whewwww that was too close for comfort. No time for the bathrooms either. YIKES!!!

Anyway, we went to stay with a long time friend of Billies and she was totally the best hostest and the sweetest person I have ever met. Mel and her husband Tony, were absolutely awesome to take us 4 women in 2 weeks before Christmas at that and made us feel perfectly at home. They pampered us the whole time we were there. I was so greatful that Billie had such a friend to invite us all to stay in her home instead of having to go to a lonely cold hotel room. Thank you Mel and Tony for you hospitality, the laughs and the fun. OH and lets not forget all the great food. HA, I think we ate and ate and ate and then ate some more just for the heck of it, but it was all good.
